We have a data protection core team comprised of senior members of the Legal, Data and Marketing teams, dedicated to ensuring that GEOXIS is GDPR-compliant. For every new product development and enhancement to our service, we’re proactively applying the Data Protection by design principles.
This is the privacy policy for the GEOXIS Platform (as defined in our Terms and Conditions) that we make available from time to time. The GEOXIS Platform is owned and operated by GEOXIS IHUB PVT LTD (we, us and our). For the purposes of INDIA data protection laws, we are the data controller.

We are committed to protecting your privacy online. We appreciate that you do not want the information you provide to us to be distributed indiscriminately and here we explain how we collect information, what we do with it and what controls you have over it.
By using the GEOXIS Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following information about you:
- information (such as your name, email address, gender, date of birth, photographs, postal address and telephone number) that you provide us, including if you register as a user of the GEOXIS Platform, book an appointment for any service, upload or submit any material via the GEOXIS Platform, contact any service provider via the GEOXIS Platform or enter into any competition or promotion we may sponsor;
- in connection with an account sign-in facility, your log-in and password details;
- If you decide to register through or otherwise grant access to us via a third-party social networking site such as Facebook Connect or Google, we may also collect personal information that is already associated with such site;
- the content of any communications you send to us, for example, to report a problem or to submit queries, concerns or comments regarding the GEOXIS Platform or its content;
- any search terms you looked up and results that you selected;
- friend or contact lists that you may provide to us by connecting your GEOXIS account with your computer, mobile device, or third-party social network accounts;
- information from surveys that we may, from time to time, run on the GEOXIS Platform, if you choose to participate in them;
- geographical location so that we can provide you with information about the services provided by businesses near to your location; and
- other information from your use of the GEOXIS Platform including, the type of internet browser or mobile device you use, any website from which you have come to the Site and your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer or mobile device on the Internet) and your operating system, which are automatically recognized by our web server.
We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you, such as details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data.
We may record and monitor telephone calls for training and quality control purposes as well as to verify the details of any contract we may agree with you over the phone.
Your name, as well as any photo you submit for your profile, any services or any businesses that you book appointments with and any recommendations you make, can be publicly displayed as part of your profile. Appointments booked will also be publicly displayed on the applicable service provider’s profile. You can make changes to some of your account information through Settings.
You are under no obligation to provide any such information. However, if you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you with certain services.
Uses made of your information
We have set out below, in a table format, a description of all the ways we plan to use your data, and which of the legal bases we rely on to do so. We have also identified what our legitimate interests are where appropriate.

Legitimate Interest means the interest of our business in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service/product and the best and most secure experience. We make sure we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before we process your personal data for our legitimate interests. Performance of Contract means processing your data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract.

Generally we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data other than in relation to sending third party direct marketing communications to you via email or text message.
Subject to receiving your consent, we may also use your personal information to notify you of new products or services and special offers we think you may be interested in, and share your personal information with carefully selected third parties so they can send you information directly which you may find useful regarding their products and services although, such third parties may have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for how those third parties use your personal information. However, you will only receive these communications where you consented to receive such communications either at the point of registration or at any point after. You can unsubscribe from such communications at any time, by changing your communication preferences in Settings, via the unsubscribe link that you will find at the bottom of every marketing email we send or by contacting us by email at [email protected]. However, if you do unsubscribe you may not be able to benefit from the full service and functionality of GEOXIS and potential promotions.
Refer a Friend Schemes
We may, from time to time, run referral programmes or similar initiatives, such as a “Refer a Friend” programme, that invite you to provide us with the contact details of someone who is known to you who may find our products or services to be of interest. We will only use those contact details for the purpose of the relevant initiative (and not for general marketing purposes). By providing us with their details, you confirm that you have their permission to do so and must not provide us with the details of anyone from whom you do not have such permission. We reserve the right to identify you as the person who has made the referral in the message that is sent to them. We will not use your friend’s information for any other purpose unless they consent to us doing so.
Information sharing
We may disclose aggregate statistics about visitors to the GEOXIS Platform, customers and sales in order to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers, sponsors and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will include no personally identifiable information.
We may disclose your personal information to any of our affiliates, service providers, or to our agents or sub-contractors who assist us in providing the services we offer through the GEOXIS Platform, processing transactions, booking appointments for the services, fulfilling requests for information, receiving and sending communications, updating marketing lists, analyzing data, providing support services or in other tasks, from time to time. Our agents and contractors will only use your personal information to the extent necessary to perform their functions and will be required by us to implement measures to protect your personal information.
In the event that we undergo a reorganization or are sold to a third party, you agree that any personal information we hold about you may be transferred to that reorganized entity or third party.
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to prevent fraud or cybercrime or to protect the GEOXIS Platform or the rights, property or personal safety of any person.
Cookies
When you interact with the GEOXIS Platform, we try to make that experience simple and meaningful. When you visit the GEOXIS Platform, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or access or use a mobile application and which store and sometimes track information about your use of the GEOXIS Platform. A number of cookies we use last only for the duration of your session and expire when you close your browser or exit the GEOXIS Platform. Other cookies are used to remember you when you return to the GEOXIS Platform and will last for longer. We use cookies to:
- remember that you have visited us before;
- customize elements of the promotional layout and/or content of the pages of the GEOXIS Platform;

In addition to cookies, tracking Gifs may be set by us or third parties in respect of your use of the GEOXIS Platform. Tracking Gifs are small image files within the content of the GEOXIS Platform or the body of our newsletters so we or third parties can understand parts of the GEOXIS Platform are used and whether particular content is of interest.
Public forums
The information you contribute through the GEOXIS Platform is public, including your reviews, photos, comments, which Service Providers you add as favorites, and your friend lists. Any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when using these and consider carefully before disclosing your personal information.
Security and storage of your personal information
We place great importance on the security of our users’ personal information. We have security measures in place to help us protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal information under our control. For example, our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized personnel have access to personal information. Whilst we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of information will never occur, we use all reasonable efforts to prevent it.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
You should bear in mind that submission of information over the Internet is never entirely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information you submit via the GEOXIS Platform whilst it is in transit over the Internet and any such submission is at your own risk.
It is advisable to close your browser when you have finished your user session to help ensure others do not access your personal information if you use a shared computer or a computer in a public place.
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

WordPress
Who we are
In this section you should note your site URL, as well as the name of the company, organization, or individual behind it, and some accurate contact information.
The amount of information you may be required to show will vary depending on your local or national business regulations. You may, for example, be required to display a physical address, a registered address, or your company registration number.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
In this section you should note what personal data you collect from users and site visitors. This may include personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies.

By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However some of your plugins may collect personal data. You should add the relevant information below.
Comments
In this subsection you should note what information is captured through comments. We have noted the data which WordPress collects by default.
Suggested text:When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
In this subsection you should note what information may be disclosed by users who can upload media files. All uploaded files are usually publicly accessible.
Suggested text:If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
By default, WordPress does not include a contact form. If you use a contact form plugin, use this subsection to note what personal data is captured when someone submits a contact form, and how long you keep it. For example, you may note that you keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but you do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.
Cookies
In this subsection you should list the cookies your web site uses, including those set by your plugins, social media, and analytics. We have provided the cookies which WordPress installs by default.
Suggested text:If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Suggested text:Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
In this subsection you should note what analytics package you use, how users can opt out of analytics tracking, and a link to your analytics provider’s privacy policy, if any.
By default WordPress does not collect any analytics data. However, many web hosting accounts collect some anonymous analytics data. You may also have installed a WordPress plugin that provides analytics services. In that case, add information from that plugin here.
Who we share your data with
In this section you should name and list all third party providers with whom you share site data, including partners, cloud-based services, payment processors, and third party service providers, and note what data you share with them and why. Link to their own privacy policies if possible.
By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.
How long we retain your data
In this section you should explain how long you retain personal data collected or processed by the web site. While it is your responsibility to come up with the schedule of how long you keep each dataset for and why you keep it, that information does need to be listed here. For example, you may want to say that you keep contact form entries for six months, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records for ten years.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Where we send your data

WP Smush
Plugin: Smush
Note: Smush does not interact with end users on your website. The only input option Smush has is to a newsletter subscription for site admins only. If you would like to notify your users of this in your privacy policy, you can use the information below.
Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimize them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers.
Smush uses the Stackpath Content Delivery Network (CDN). Stackpath may store web log information of site visitors, including IPs, UA, referrer, Location and ISP info of site visitors for 7 days. Files and images served by the CDN may be stored and served from countries other than your own. Stackpath’s privacy policy can be found here.
Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. The administrator’s email address is sent to Drip and a cookie is set by the service. Only administrator information is collected by Drip.

YouTube
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Here the YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited.
If you’re logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube allows you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo when you visit our plugin or do not have a Vimeo account. Google Web Fonts
For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. SoundCloud
On our pages, plugins of the SoundCloud social network (SoundCloud Limited, Berners House, 47-48 Berners Street, London W1T 3NF, UK) may be integrated. The SoundCloud plugins can be recognized by the SoundCloud logo on our site.
When you visit our site, a direct connection between your browser and the SoundCloud server is established via the plugin. This enables SoundCloud to receive information that you have visited our site from your IP address. If you click on the “Like” or “Share” buttons while you are logged into your SoundCloud account, you can link the content of our pages to your SoundCloud profile. GDPR AND OUR PLUGINS
Our plugins and add-ons are compatible with GDPR. Below are the common questions related to GDPR.
Do your plugins track any data?
We do not track any user data via our plugins. But if our plugin depends on any third party service, they might track user data. This can happen in following two ways:
1. Embedded Widgets
Some of our plugins have features to integrate embedded widgets as is, from third party services (like Facebook Like, Facebook Recommend, Twitter Tweet official buttons). You can include relevant text in the privacy policy of your website as mentioned below.
2. Third-party APIs/Connections
Our plugins send request to third party APIs via website-visitor’s web browser to fetch information (like social shares, social comment count). This request made by web browser may include IP address, which can then be seen by the third-party that it’s being requested from. This API request doesn’t include any personal data of the website user other than the IP address. To make your users aware of this, you can include relevant snippets in your website’s privacy policy.
Where is the data collected by your plugins stored?

Do your plugins load any external scripts?
